Henkel and Cosmo Consult sign framework agreement for strategic cooperation on an IoT platform for smart devices

Cosmo Consult TIC GmbH is a company of the Cosmo Consult Group. Within the group the company stands for the topics IoT, Industry 4.0, Software as a Service and Platform as a Service for Cloud-based platforms. Cosmo Consult TIC has been leading the initiative and the cooperation network “Digital Construction Site – Smart Industry Park” together with the Fraunhofer IFF for years
Both contracting parties aim at a strategic cooperation under the guiding principle “Engineered by Henkel – Developed by Cosmo Consult”. The aim is to provide an AZURE IoT Cloud Platform for Smart Assets based on business apps and intelligent cloud services, for composite materials and adhesives, with embedded sensors, so-called Smart Coatings. The focus is on the development, provision and sale of solutions for Smart Assets for Predictive Maintenance applications. Classical equipment such as pipelines, flanges, pumps, tanks and gearboxes are further developed with the latest sensor technology to avoid unplanned repairs.
With this cooperation, both companies are entering into a partnership which, in addition to the joint development and provision of “Smart Coatings”, also enables the provision of new digital services (SaaS/PaaS) on the market and also includes the implementation of a joint marketing strategy. With this cooperation, Henkel also becomes a technology partner of the cooperation network “Digital Construction Site – Smart Industry Park”.
