9th Conference on Plant Design of the Future at the Fraunhofer IFF on 22 and 23 June 2016. Topic: “Plant Design 4.0 – current state and future prospects for operators, planners and contractors”
On 22-23 June 2016 the 9th Conference on Plant Design of the Future part of the 19th IFF Science Days of the Fraunhofer IFF.
Topic: “Plant Design 4.0 – current state and future prospects for operators, planners and contractors”
The conference’s aim is to give decision makers, professional developers, operators and researchers a platform for the exchange of professional knowledge and discussion of new solutions.
Builders of machinery and plants, component suppliers and service providers launch new concepts, components, and tools for networked production. As big companies do, small and medium-sized enterprises need to recognize the potential and the opportunities of networking beyond company boundaries and move towards “Industry 4.0”, as the trend to automation and data exchange technologies is known in Germany. Competitors in the global market, such as the United States, are on a similar course with the “industrial internet”, but often with a more pragmatic approach. The German machine and plant construction industry still has a chance to be at the front of the pack in this competition. Providing successful concepts, as well as examples of best practice, can help to generate new ideas for individual companies.
In addition to the technical revolutions, Industry 4.0 will redefine the role of the human beings in the production process. Some requirements will change fundamentally. New concepts for qualification and training are needed just as much as methods for the migration of Industry 4.0 into the production process. This year, the focus of the Conference on Plant Design of the Future will be on digital transformation in the factory and plant life cycle, the use of mobile devices and assistance systems for efficient and safe operation, as well as the innovative skills training for employees on the safe and efficient operation of facilities and factories.
Discuss the trends and prospects in Plant Construction 4.0 with us and German plant design experts!
The “Digital Construction Site” will be there, too!Back to Overview
